Set up Fulfillments

Written by Aaron

Two behaviour switches and four customer notifications. Everything is in Settings> Fulfillments.

The two behaviour toggles sit above the notification triggers.

Quick Special Order checkbox on the register

Turn this on to put a one-click Special order checkbox on every sale line, the way the old register worked. The full fulfillment selector is still there. This is the shortcut for stores whose fulfillment work is almost always a supplier order.

Tax ship-from lines at the shipping location

When an item ships from another one of your stores, this makes the line follow that store's tax rules: its location tax override, its tax class, and its default rates, instead of the selling store's. Customer level and item level tax overrides still apply on top.

Leave it off if you tax everything at the store that rang the sale.

Customer notifications

Four moments can message the customer, each on SMS, email, or both. Turn on only what you want to send.

Trigger

Fires when

Order placed

The line is routed and sourced. The customer knows it is on the way in.

Ready for pickup

The goods have arrived and are reserved under their name.

Shipped

The parcel has left, with the tracking number if you entered one.

Canceled/refunded

The line was canceled or the sale was refunded.

Each trigger gets an SMS toggle, an email toggle, and its own message template.

Message templates

Leave a template blank, and Vibe sends the built-in preset, written in the Vibe voice. Type your own to override it. These placeholders are filled in for you:

{customer_first_name} {store_name} {item_name} {order_number} {tracking_number} {pickup_location}

Note: Merchants set the content, not the moments. The four triggers are fixed. You choose whether each one sends, on which channel, and what it says.
