When to Use This Feature
A group of friends or family wants to pool money toward a gift for a customer
You want to let contributors pay their share securely without handling cash
You want a record of who contributed, how much, and when
How to Generate a Group Gifting Link
Open the customer's profile
Click Generate Group Gifting Link
Set an expiration date for the link
Select if its a Predetermined amount or the Customer chooses how much to give.
Toggle of other contributors' information is viewable on the link.
The system creates a unique shareable URL tied to that customer
The link and its status (active or expired) will appear in the Group Gifting section of the customer's profile.
Note: Only users with customer management permissions can generate or view Group Gifting Links and contributions.
What Contributors See
When someone opens the link, they land on a contribution page showing the customer's name and an optional photo. They fill in:
Their name
Their contribution amount (preset or variable, depending on configuration)
An optional message
They then enter their card details (card number, expiry, CVV, ZIP) and submit. After payment, they see a confirmation page with their contribution details.
Tracking Contributions
All contributions are recorded in the Group Gifting tab on the customer's profile. Each entry includes:
Contributor name
Amount
Message (if provided)
Date and time
Last 4 digits of card
Payment status
The tab also shows the total collected, calculated from all successful payments. You can view all contributions and their statuses at any time.
When the Link Expires or Closes
Once a link reaches its expiration date, it stops accepting payments. Anyone who visits it sees an expiration message.
The total collected is automatically transferred to the customer's gift card. The transaction history is tied back to the group gifting link for a complete record.
You can still view the link and all its contributions after it expires.
Note: Expired links cannot be reopened. Set the expiration date carefully before sharing the link.
