Work Orders from Sales Screen

This feature is primarily used to generate a work order ticket in conjunction with the sale of an item that requires customization or repair. The work order can be created directly from the sales screen and processed through checkout for the customer.

The system enables hotkeys for commonly performed repairs or customizations, streamlining the creation of work orders. Upon completion, the system can generate a receipt for the item, the work order, or a combined receipt that includes both.

Setting up Work Orders from Sales Screen:

  1. Enable the setting “Create Work Order for Customer” and save.

  2. Add services/repairs as items within your inventory, these will be used as hot keys for the repairs on your work orders.

    1. This will permit easy identification and selection of the jobs needed on your work orders when building your work order on the sales screen.

  3. Add these items to your “Work Order Hotkey Items” and save.

    1. Colors can be changed by the scope, either by location or by user.

    2. The order your repairs show can be arranged using the 3-lines on the left side and dragging them to the proper positions.

  4. Ensure you’ve done this correctly by navigating to the sales screen, adding a customer to the sale and selecting an item. There will be a box underneath the item called “Create Work Order” and upon clicking, you will see the following:

Creating a Work Order from Sales Screen:

  1. Add your Customer and Item, for repair or customization, into the cart and select “Create Work Order”.

  2. Select your Hotkey repair, and add in your description, quantity and notes.

  3. Additionally, when there are more than one repairs needed, add overall Work Order notes and save them. When finalized, select the “Create” button on the bottom.

  4. Upon completion, there will be the item, and repair in your cart with a Work Order tag on the item and a Work Order Item tag on the repair.

  5. Complete the sale of your item and repair. There are two receipts, one for the item of purchase and one for the Work Order:

  6. The ability to print your work order with receipt can be done by selecting the “Print Work Order with Receipt” button.
