The Verified Returns feature is an optional store configuration setting that adds an extra layer of accuracy to the return process.
When enabled, the Verified Returns feature requires users to select or match a completed sale before processing a return. This helps prevent unauthorized items from being returned and ensures your inventory quantities stay accurate. Follow the steps below to enable Verified Returns:
From the Dashboard, navigate to Store Config. in the left-menu.
Type into the search bar, or scroll down the menu list, to select Returns.
Click the check box to enable Verified Returns. When ready to make a return, navigate to Sales.
Click Sales, then Return in the drop down menu.
Search for the sales by, receipt number, sale ID, customer name, date range, or the last four digits of the card used. Select the item being returned.
Enable the checkbox in the item row. Then, click Add to Return Cart.
The page will automatically redirect you to the Return screen. Choose the refund method, then Complete Sale.
Note: Verified Returns ensure that items returned match the original sale. Quantity and pricing cannot be modified, and no new items can be added.
