Create A Voucher

The Vouchers feature allows you to create unique discount codes for specific items. Vouchers are ideal for offering special discounts to select customers, or, for promotions with limitations. To create a voucher, follow the steps below

Create A Voucher

  1. From the Dashboard, click the Vouchers tab in the left-hand menu.

  2. Click + Issue New Voucher in the top-right corner.

  3. Enter the following details:

  • Voucher Type;

    • Voucher Item Restriction Options

      When configuring a voucher, you can restrict what the voucher applies to. The available options are:

      • Specific Item β€” Voucher applies to one designated item only

      • Any Item in Category β€” Voucher applies to any item within a selected category

      • Any Item with Tag β€” Voucher applies to any item that has a specific tag assigned

      • Amount Only (No Item Restriction) - Voucher applies to the sale amount with no item restriction

  • Customer - Attach the voucher to a specific customer.

  • Expiry Date (Optional) - Choose a date for the voucher to expire.

  • Comment (Optional) - Add any extra notes.

  • Quantity of Vouchers to make

4. Click Issue Voucher to save any changes.

A pop-up will confirm the voucher has been created and display the voucher code.

View Voucher Details

  1. Click the blue View button in the Action column to see information such as:

  • Issue Date

  • Status

  • Issued By

Void a Voucher

  1. To cancel a voucher, click the red X in the Action column.

Tip: Voiding a voucher immediately invalidates it and it cannot be used again.


Set Your Voucher Defaults Once - Use Them Forever:

You can now configure preset defaults for all new vouchers directly in Store Config. No more manually setting the same options every time you create a voucher. Set it up once, and every new voucher will be ready to go exactly how you like it, right out of the box.

Configuration

Navigate to Store Config > Sales to set the following defaults:

  • Default Voucher Restriction Type - Sets which restriction type is pre-selected when issuing a new voucher

  • Default Voucher Amount - Used to pre-fill the voucher value when issuing amount-only vouchers
