Gift Cards feature allows you to create, manage, and sell gift cards for your store. You can assign them to customers, track their value, and keep a full log of edits and transactions.
Create a New Gift Card
To create new gift card follow the steps below:
From Dashboard, click Gift Cards tab.
In the top-right corner, click New Giftcard.
Enter the following details to create a gift card:
Gift Card Number.
Number used to apply the card during a sale.
Description.
Add notes or details about the gift card.
Value.
Amount or balance of the gift card.
Customer Name.
Type the customer’s name and select it from the dropdown. If they don’t exist yet, create their record first.
Inactive.
Check this box to make the gift card unavailable for use.
Gift Card Log.
Shows all edits and transactions, including date, time, and employee name.
Once done, click Save in the bottom-right corner.
Note: If you want to link a gift card to a specific customer, make sure their customer record is created first.
Edit a Gift Card
To update information on an existing gift card, follow the steps below:
From Dashboard, click Gift Cards tab.
Locate the gift card you want to modify and click Edit.
Update any necessary details on the Gift Card Information page.
Once done, click Save in the bottom-right corner to apply your changes.
Note: Any updates you make will automatically appear in the Gift Card Log for reference.
Delete a Gift Card
If a gift card is no longer needed, you can remove it from your active list. Follow the steps below to delete one or more gift cards:
From Dashboard, click Gift Cards tab.
Locate the gift card you want to delete and check the box beside each one.
Click Delete in the menu above the list.
When prompted, click OK to confirm.
To permanently delete a gift card, click the three-dots and select Cleanup Deleted Gift Card.
When prompted, click OK to confirm.
Note:
Deleted gift cards are stored in the system until they’re permanently erased.
If you accidentally delete a gift card, you can recover it from Manage Deleted Gift Cards
When you use Cleanup Deleted Gift Cards, All deleted gift cards will be erased permanently, and individual recovery will no longer be possible.
Manage Deleted Gift Cards
If a gift card was deleted by mistake, you can restore it unless the deleted records have already been cleaned up. Follow the steps below to undelete gift cards:
From Dashboard, click Gift Cards tab.
Click the three-dots in the top-right corner.
Select Manage Deleted Gift Cards.
Check the box next to the gift card(s) you want to restore.
From the menu above the list, click Undelete.
When finished, click Done to return to the main Gift Cards page.
Customer Purchasing a Gift Card
Follow the steps below to create and assign a gift card to a customer’s account:
From Dashboard tab, click Sales tab.
Select the (⋯) menu, then choose “Sell Gift Card.”
Enter the Gift Card Number and Value.
Note:
The gift card will be added to the customer account selected in the Sales Screen.
If a customer is purchasing a gift card for someone else, the recipient will still be the selected customer.
