Tracking commission is an important part of many businesses. Vibe provides an easy and flexible way to manage this.
Global Level Commissions
To apply the same commission rate to everyone in your business, follow the steps below to set a global commission rate for your store:
From Dashboard, click Store Config tab.
In the top search bar, type commission.
Fill in the Commission Default Rate you want to apply.
This is the total percentage rate for all items.
Click Commission Percent Calculation Method and select which price the commission should apply to:
Selling Price.
The amount items are sold for in the store.Profit.
The profit earned from the sale (selling price minus cost price).
Once done, click Save to apply the commission rate.
Employee Level Commissions
Follow the steps below to assign a custom commission to specific employees:
From Dashboard, click Employees tab.
Click Edit next to the employee you want to set a commission for.
Scroll down until you find the Commission fields.
Enter the Commission Default Rate you want to apply.
Click the Commission Percent Calculation Method and select which price the rate should apply to.
Once done, click Save to apply the commission rate for that employee.
Note: If a global commission rate exists, the employee-level rate will override it for that employee.
Item Level Commissions
If certain items should earn higher or lower commissions, set rates at the Item Level.
Follow these steps to apply a specific commission to individual items:
From Inventory, click Items tab.
Click Edit next to the item you want to adjust.
Go to the Pricing tab and check Override Default Commission.
Fill in the Commission you want to apply. Use the dropdown to choose how the commission should be calculated:
Percentage.
Commission is based on a percent of the selling price or profit.Fixed Amount.
A flat amount given per item sold.
Once done, click Save to apply the commission rate for this item.
Note: You can use the same steps to apply commission settings to Item Kits. Setting a commission here will override employee and global rates.
Generate a Commission Report
To review commissions earned by your employees, you can create a Commission Report. Follow the steps below to generate and export your report:
From Dashboard, click Report tab.
Click Commission from the report list.
Select how you want to view the commission data.
Fill out the required information for the data range and export format you prefer.
When ready, click Submit to download your report.
