Managing Your Sales Return

Sales Return feature in Vibe POS allows you to process customer returns quickly and accurately. Returns are treated like sales, ensuring your inventory and reports stay correct.


Create a Return

Creating a return ensures the items are properly tracked in inventory and the correct refund is issued. Follow the steps below:

  1. From Dashboard, click the Sales tab.

  2. Click the Sale button near the search bar and select Return from the dropdown.

    Complete the following sections:

    • Item Queue.
      Add items being returned.

    • Customer Information
      Enter details for accurate reporting and loyalty tracking.

    • Price Section
      Apply discounts or adjust taxes totals will show as negative amounts.

    • Payment Selection
      Record how the customer is refunded single or multiple payment types.

  3. Click Complete Sale in the payment section.

    You will be redirected to the Sale Receipt page for the return.

Note: If your store location has multiple registers, select the correct one.


Edit a Sales Return

Sometimes you may need to correct or update details on a completed return.

Follow the steps below:

  1. From Dashboard, click the Sales tab.

  2. Open the receipt and click Edit top left.

    Confirm the warning that edits will replace the current record.

  3. Make the necessary changes.

    Click Complete Sale to update the return in the system.


Cancel a Return Before Completion

If a return has been started but not yet completed, you can cancel it without affecting inventory. Follow the steps below:

  1. From Dashboard, click the Sales tab.

  2. Click Cancel Sale above the Customer section.


    Items will remain in inventory, and the return will not be recorded.


Delete a Completed Return

If a return was completed in error, you can delete it to remove it from your records.

Follow the steps below:

  1. From Dashboard, click the Sales tab.

  2. On the edit screen, click Void/Delete above the Customer Information section.

  3. Confirm to remove the return.


    Inventory and reporting will automatically be corrected.
