Batch Import feature lets you upload multiple sales at once using an Excel sheet. Follow the steps below to batch import sales:

  1. From Dashboard, select Sales tab.

  2. Click the three-dots above the customer information section.

    Then select Batch Sale.

  3. The Import Setup Guide will open.

Download the Excel Template for Batch Sale, Fill out the template with your sales information.

  4. Enter the following details.

Within your Sales Import File, you will see the following in the header:

    • Sale ID.
Sale Number to distinguish how many lines (items) are in the same sale.

    • Sale Date.
      Date of Transaction.

    • Item Id/Item Number/Product ID.
      Item Information relevant to sale.

    • Quantity Ordered.
      Quantity ordered of each item.

    • Selling Price.
      Selling price of each item.

    • Tax.
      Tax on the item level.

    • Paid Amount.
Total Amount Paid on the item.

    • Person ID.
      The customer’s name or ID.

    • Location ID.
Usually “1,” unless multiple locations are being tracked.

    • Payment Type.
The method of payment used, for example:

      • Cash

      • Credit Card

      • Gift Card

      • Check.

  5. Click Choose File, select your Excel sheet.

Then click Save to import the sales into the system.

Note:

  • Sale Date must be in the format “yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss” and saved as Text. If the date is not in text format, it will not be correctly associated with the sale.

  • Break up sales into smaller files of 2,000–2,500 lines to prevent errors.
When splitting the file, make sure the break occurs between different Sale IDs, not within the same sale.

  • Test the import first with 1–2 sales to confirm that your file contains the correct information before performing a bulk import.
