You can create, edit, and delete global attributes from one centralized place. Global attributes can be assigned across any item in your store.

Create a Global Attribute

Use global attributes to apply the same options, like size or color, across multiple items in your store. Follow the steps below to create Global Attribute:

  1. From the dashboard, click Inventory.

  2. Under Inventory, select the Attributes tab.

  3. Click Add Attribute. Fill out the required fields:

    • Name.
      Enter a clear attribute name.

    • Values.
      Add options for the attribute.

    Once done, click Save.

Note:

  • To create a value, type the option name and press Tab or select it from the dropdown. Repeat to add as many values as needed.

  • These values can later be used to auto-create variations when assigning attributes to an item.

Edit a Global Attribute

To update an attribute name or change its options, follow the steps below:

  1. From the dashboard, click Inventory.

  2. Under Inventory, select the Attributes tab.

  3. Locate the attribute you want to edit.

Click the field to update the attribute name or its values.

Note: Editing attributes does not automatically update items that already use them.

Delete a Global Attribute

To remove an attribute that is no longer needed, follow the steps below:

  1. From the dashboard, click Inventory.

  2. Under Inventory, select the Attributes tab.

  3. Locate the attribute you want to delete.

Click Delete to remove the attribute.

Note: Deleting an attribute does not remove its variations from existing items. Variations must be removed manually.

Select a Global Attribute for an Item

After creating attributes, you can assign them to an item and generate variations automatically.

Note:

  • If you need a new attribute, select Manage Global Attributes to create one

  • If the wrong attribute is applied, you can remove it, along with its variations, by clicking Delete in that row.
