Item Quantity Units

Item Quantity Units let you sell products in packs or groups. For example, a bottle could be sold as a single item, pack of 3, or pack of 6. Item Quantity Units help you:

  • Track inventory for bundled or grouped items.

  • Set pricing for multiples of the same item.


Add Quantity Units

When you want to sell an item in packs or bundles follow the steps below:

  1. From the dashboard, click the Inventory tab.

  2. Under the Inventory tab, select Items.

  3. Create a new item or edit an existing item.

    For example, select an existing item and click the Edit button.

  4. Open the Variations tab.

  5. Under Quantity Units, click Add. Fill out the fields:

    • Name

    • Quantity

    • Cost Price

    • Selling Price

    • Item Number


    Once done, click save.

Notes: (Optional): Add multiple units, such as packs of 3, 5, or 10.


Edit or Remove Quantity Units

To update the details of an existing unit or remove one that’s no longer needed:

  1. From the dashboard, click the Inventory tab.

  2. Under the Inventory tab, select Items.

  3. Click the Edit button to edit or delete the quantity units.

  4. Open the Variations tab.

  5. Under Quantity Units.
    Update fields as needed or click Delete to remove a unit.


    Once done, click save.


Use Quantity Units in Sales

You can use Quantity Units while completing a sale to choose whether the customer is buying the default single item, or one of the available packs.

  1. From the dashboard, click the Sales tab.

  2. Select the item.


    You can select item by:

    • Name

    • Barcode

    • Grid

  3. Under Quantity Units, the default is None.

    Click the dropdown, choose the desired unit, and then click the checkmark.

Note: A single quantity is always applied unless another unit is selected.
