Item Recurring Charges

Recurring charges automatically bill a customer on a regular interval. This feature is useful for memberships, subscriptions, or any service that requires ongoing payments.


Set Up Recurring Charges

To begin, you’ll need to create or edit an item and configure its recurring charge settings.

  1. From the dashboard, click the Inventory tab.

  2. Under the Inventory tab, select Items.

  3. Create a new item or edit an existing item.

    For example, select an existing item and click the Edit button.

  4. After selecting the item, click the Pricing tab.

  5. Check the "Is Recurring Charge" box and enter the following details:

    • Selling Price.
      The recurring amount charged each cycle.

    • Startup Cost.
      An optional one-time initial fee.

    • Interval.
      How often the charge recurs Monthly or Yearly.

    • Day Number.
      Specific day or interval for the charge.

    Click Save to confirm your setup.


Use Recurring Charges

Once recurring charges are set up, you can add them to a sale just like any other item.


Follow these steps to use recurring charges in sales:

  • Add the recurring charge item to a sale.

  • Attach a Customer to the sale.

  • Use Credit Card or Store Account as the payment method.

Note: Each recurring charge generates a sales receipt in the system like a normal sale.
