Managing Sales Item Queue

Item queues are used across features such as sales, inventory transfers, and returns. Managing these queues properly ensures smooth and accurate transactions. You can add, adjust, rearrange, and remove items in a queue.


Add an Item


There are four different ways to add items:

  • Search by Item Name.
    If you already know the item’s name or ID, the quickest way to find it is through the search bar.

    • Enter the item name or item ID in the search bar.

    • Select the matching item from the dropdown.

    • Once selected, the item will automatically appear in the queue.

  • Scan Barcode.
    For faster and more accurate entry, you can scan items directly into the queue.

    • Click inside the search bar.

    • Scan the Vibe-generated barcode of the item.

    • The item will appear in the queue.

  • Select from Grid.
    If you prefer browsing through organized categories, use the grid view.

    • Click Show Grid next to the search bar.

    • Organize items by Categories, Tags, Suppliers, or Favorites.

    • Click an item to add it to the queue.

    • Scroll past the grid and click Hide Grid to return to normal view

  • By Description.

    • If your manually typing an items details it will populate the relevant matches.


Adjust Item Details

After adding items, you may need to modify details such as price, quantity, or discounts.


Follow the steps below to adjust items details:

  1. Manually Adjust Item Price.

    If you need to update an item’s price:

    • Click the price in the queue column.

    • Enter the new price in the popup and click the checkmark to save.

    • Adjusting the total will automatically update the per-item price.

  2. Adjust Item Quantity.
    To correct or update item quantities:

    • Click the quantity number in the queue.

    • Enter the correct quantity in the popup and click the checkmark.

    • The item total will update automatically.

  3. Manually Change Item Discount.
    To apply or change an item discount:

    • Click the discount amount in the queue column.

    • Enter the new discount and click the checkmark.

    • The total will update based on the item price and quantity.

Note:

  • Employees must have permission to manually edit prices or discounts.

  • Change the order of items in the queue for better organization by clicking and dragging an item to its new position.


Remove an Item

If an item was added by mistake or is no longer needed in the transaction, remove it from the queue by clicking the red X next to the item name.
